Hi, I’m Chemical, I’m an illustrator from Hong Kong based in Atlanta. I create playful characters that are harmlessly straightforward, full of attitude and have loud personalities— these are some things in people I’m most fond of and am interested in revealing, the good and the ugly parts. Other times, I deconstruct the pain I’ve felt from within other people and in myself, and I explore indirect and humorous ways to illustrate that pain. Through my honest art, I want people to encounter a complexity of ambiguous emotions– this is how I experience life. What I find most beautiful about the human condition are things which are contradicting, and which exist in spaces in between. …
